The majority of Everton fans have been vocal in their desire for David Unsworth to be given the manager’s job on a permanent basis.
The 44-year-old has been handed the reins for the time being following Ronald Koeman’s sacking.
Unsworth, who has been the Under-23s coach since 2014, has been in charge of two games so far, and both have ended in disappointment.
First up was a Carabao Cup clash against Chelsea, in which the Toffees were beaten 2-1.
Positives from the second-half display were taken, and there was a similar feeling from Sunday’s 2-0 loss to Leicester City.
Following the match, Unsworth spoke to the media, claiming that the team showed more quality after the break, but that they need to do it over a 90-mintue period.
The reaction to the temporary manager’s post-match analysis has been mixed, with some fans still backing the former Everton graduate, while others are full of worry.
