A host of Leeds fans have been left to debate teenager striker Sam Dalby after the 19-year-old netted three times for Watford against RB Leipzig in a pre-season friendly between their respective youth teams.
Dalby only left Leeds as recently as this summer, joining the Hornets for an undisclosed fee after failing to make a first-team appearance for the Whites during his spell in Yorkshire.
It was a hat-trick that left a bunch of supporters divided though. Some were more concerned, simply asking why the club sold him for peanuts. Another said it was a strange sell for someone with a bright future whilst a further fan bemoaned the lack of squad management.
Others were less stressed as one said he wasn’t even getting into the club’s U23 team. There was also a claim that Ryan Edmondson was better than Dalby.
The forward spent last season on loan at Morecambe where he scored once in 18 League Two outings.
Here’s the best of the reaction.
