The Premier League is the most watched league on the planet and home to the greatest players in the world.
Mohamed Salah cemented himself as one of the best wingers of all time last season, picking up the PFA Player of the Year award for a record third time. But who is the best player in the English top flight right now?

Marc Guehi continues to play crucial part in Crystal Palace’s hot start, while Micky van de Ven’s recent goalscoring form keeps him just ahead of north London rival Riccardo Calafiori despite Tottenham’s damaging defeat in the derby.

13. Antoine Semenyo

12. William Saliba

11. Igor Thiago
Brentford
Daniel Munoz is arguably the best wing-back in the world on current form, adding another goal and clean sheet this weekend, and Bruno Guimaraes reminded everyone of his status as one of the Premier League’s best midfielders with a stunning all-action display against Man City.
Igor Thiago is soaring up the rankings after taking his goal tally for the season to ten in all competitions with another strike in a defeat against Brighton.
10 Elliot Anderson – Nottingham Forest
Anderson has been phenomenal in the middle of the park for Forest this season, and he was absolutely dominant in the 3-0 victory away at Liverpool. The former Newcastle starlet registered two shots, three key passes and four tackles at Anfield.
9 Bukayo Saka – Arsenal
Arsenal’s ‘star boy’ had a mixed start to the season hampered by injuries, but has returned to the side and returned to form without skipping a beat, getting back on the scoresheet in the draw at Sunderland.
8 Enzo Fernandez – Chelsea
Fernandez has taken his fair share of criticism since his big money move to Chelsea, but the Argentinian is now a key piece in the Blues’ recent rise, scoring against Burnley to take his tally on the season to four in 11 top flight games.
7 Eberechi Eze – Arsenal
Eze’s stunning hat-trick against Tottenham was his first major moment in an Arsenal shirt, and what a way to truly announce yourself on the biggest stage. The England star now has four goals and two assists in ten Premier League appearances for the Gunners.
6 Jurrien Timber – Arsenal
Is there a better right-back in world football right now than Timber? We don’t think so. The Netherlands international has made Arsenal’s right flank his own and was tremendous once again this weekend, registering an assist in the Gunners’ big win against Spurs.
5 Bruno Fernandes – Man United
Put a little quality around him and suddenly you see the real Bruno. The United skipper has assisted in three of his last four games and is without a doubt the most important player in the Red Devils’ recent unbeaten run.
4 Moises Caicedo – Chelsea
Caicedo is doing everything you could ask of a central midfielder for Chelsea, making over three tackles per game and popping up on the scoresheet regularly. His tenacious pressing and clever ball retention in midfield is a major component of Enzo Maresca’s system.
3 Gabriel Magalhaes – Arsenal
The Brazil international is perhaps the favourite to win the PFA Player of the Year crown, dominating at the back and a constant threat in the opposition penalty area at set pieces.
He was however a little slow to react as Sunderland’s Brian Brobbey nipped in front of both him and David Raya at the Stadium of Light, and may fall further down the rankings while out injured.
2 Erling Haaland – Man City
Relegated to second place after his blank in the defeat at Newcastle, Haaland is still absolutely unstoppable on his day and is on track to obliterate the record for goals in a 38-game Premier League season.
1 Declan Rice – Arsenal
Adding end product to his game over the last 12 months, Rice is perhaps the standout midfielder in world football at present. Adding another assist to his tally against Tottenham, Arsenal’s number 41 dominated proceedings in the North London derby and his partnership with Martin Zubimendi looks virtually unplayable.
