Antony has often been described as one of the worst signings in United's history. The Red Devils splashed out an eye-watering £85 million ($99m) to land him from Ajax but he has failed to live up to lofty price tag and never managed to nail down a regular place in the starting XI. Antony has not managed a single Premier League start for United this season and will now hope to resurrect his career with Manuel Pellegrini's side.
WHAT MAN UTD SAID
A club statement read: "Manchester United forward Antony will spend the rest of the 2024/25 season in Spain, subject to international clearance. The Brazil international has completed a loan move to Real Betis in La Liga."
United also wished the winger good luck at his new club: "Everybody at United would like to wish Antony the best of luck for his spell in Seville."
